Camp Location
Dutch Harbour Camp is a beautiful, secluded site on the east shore of Kootenay Lake. Our property has 47 acres, bounded by Tam O’Shanter Creek, Kootenay Lake and crown land. This amazing treasure in the heart of the Kootenay’s offers incredible potential for outdoor ministry, retreats, camps and celebrating faith in God’s good creation. The Presbytery of Kootenay has owned and operated Dutch Harbour Camp since 1978.
DIRECTIONS TO CAMP:
From Nelson:
- travel to Balfour and enjoy the ferry trip across the Kootenay Lake
- from Balfour to camp it takes one hour of travelling time
- when you arrive in Riondel turn north on Eastman Avenue, go past the general store and stay on this road for 3 km
- when you pass over Tam O’Shanter Creek make an immediate left turn down the driveway – fire number is 2277
From Creston:
- enjoy the scenic drive along the Kootenay Lake
- it is approximately an 1 1/2 hour drive
- follow the above instructions upon arriving in Riondel
